Cruise Rooms & Suites Navigator of the Sea

She wanted to pursue a career that highlighted her passion for travel and strengths as a writer. In Mazatlán, I did a scenic boat tour that was booked through Royal Caribbean. Like with any cruise line sponsored excursion, I found it easy to locate the guide with the corresponding paddle in hand. Since the tour was less than tour hours, that meant that I had the rest of the day to explore the city center. I still had some issues sending and receiving photographs via iMessage; however, I have found that to be normal on most cruises. For a Voyager Class ship, though, I found the options to be entertaining.

Navigator of the Seas Features and Activities

The pricing is A La carte but if you have the unlimited dining you get $30 per person per sitting which is way more than you will ever need. It is surprising the least booked and I think that is simply because it is the least expensive, so if you have the unlimited dining plan, people feel like they are not getting as good of a value. Littles have big-time fun in the Babies and Tots programs at Adventure Ocean®. Soak up the thrills on all The Perfect Storm℠, the boldest waterslides at sea. Overall, though, the cons of sailing from Los Angeles are minimal. Navigator of the Seas, despite her age, is in great condition and offers sailings to a beautiful ports of call that you simply cannot visit when departing from Florida. I am glad that we staked out our chairs early in the morning and made ourself comfortable for the day.

The pool deck has two pools and one whirlpool in its main area, as well as two additional, larger whirlpools which overlook the pool deck on the jogging track deck above. Your classic burgers, shakes and fries are available at this location. The shakes are not included in the dining plan here, however you can get a soda if you have the dining plan even without the soda or drinks plan. Is your jumping off point for epic weekend adventures along the Baja coast and the Mexican Riviera. This west coast wonder has it all — interesting history, foodie-approved restaurants and beautiful landscapes.

Bars and Lounges

The RCI's enhanced Adventure Ocean youth program is hosted in a redesigned playground space. With trained staff and RCI's award-winning kids programming, the contemporary concept offers activities organized by interests. The teen areas sport updates via the redesigned teen-only laidback hangout, Living Room, as well as a "hidden" entrance and outdoor deck serving up nothing but chill vibes. Families and groups, mostly hailing from the U.S., are what make up the majority of cruisers onboard Navigator of the Seas. You'll see kids everywhere, even at some of the bars and lounges.

The court is also setup for soccer and pickle-ball games at times too. There are three different Jacuzzis that got pretty filled up because it was a surprisingly cold weekend while onboard the ship. There are also several cabanas which look like they will be extra but are first come first serve. There are two water slides onboard the Navigator of the Seas and both are some of the best slides I have been on for a cruise ship.

If you enjoyed reading about our Navigator of The Seas Review, you might also enjoy:

Cruise pricing is dynamic and varies for each specific sailing based on factors such as departure point, ports of call, and time of year. That means Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Barqs Root Beer, although the selection can vary by ship. Most Royal Caribbean ships also have Coke Freestyle machines where you can make 100 different flavor combinations. Following the refit, the vessel now has some unique new facilities currently not available on other RCI ships.

The Lime and Coconut®

You can enjoy several different cuts of steak along with an assortment of different sides. There are tons of different activities for families to enjoy together, as well as activities for kids to enjoy all on their own. The on-board kids club is called Adventure Ocean and offers something for every age group.

Here’s everything to know about Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas, including the ship’s history, staterooms and suites options, dining options and more. Expect all the Royal Caribbean classic venues and entertainment options, like the FlowRider surfing simulator, and favorited restaurants and bars that you know from other Royal Caribbean ships. Those looking for quiet spaces to relax onboard should explore the Promenade deck located on deck 4. The Promenade deck is an outdoor walking area that spans the entire circumference of Navigator of the Seas.

As a second-generation (modified) Voyager-class ship, Navigator OTS has a larger Windjammer buffet area with the Asian "Jade" and "The Plaza" bar. The first generation Voyager-class ships metal-walled balconies are here replaced with glass railings. Balcony rooms are extremely popular cabin choices for cruise passengers. Whereas in the past cruise ships were constructed with few balconies, nowadays new cruise ships are lined with balconies on each side of the ship. Balcony rooms on Navigator of the Seas are a great choice for those looking for a private, outdoor space. Not only do balconies allow for wonderful views of the ocean, but they also increase living space in a stateroom.

In addition, the Helipad can be accessed from the Promenade deck which is a peaceful spot to relax or watch the ship make her way through the sea. Eating at a specialty restaurant, though, allows passengers to have a wider range of dining options, with cuisines and meals that may not be found elsewhere on the ship. Those looking to eat at specialty restaurants may find value in purchasing a dining package. If you plan to eat at specialty restaurants, our recommendation is to purchase either the 3-night Dining Package or Unlimited Dining Package. The Royal Promenade is the main thoroughfare on Navigator of the Seas. Spanning the majority of Deck 5, the Royal Promenade features bars, shops, restaurants, and lounges.

But most, including newer additions like Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, Hooked Seafood and Jamie's Italian, do charge extra. The rock climbing wall is located on Deck 14 above the sports deck. There are several different paths from easy to quite difficult. This made it fun as our kids kept trying to improve and try the rock wall again and again to see if they could accomplish the most difficult course. Dining has to be a top part of our Navigator of the Seas review and any cruise for that matter. There are several restaurants that the amplified Navigator of the Seas offers, however if you have not upgraded your dining the options are a bit limited.

Even if you only have a single day to spare, it’s worth setting aside some time to get to know the city. Interior rooms on Navigator of the Seas are, as the name implies, located in the interior of the ship. Interior rooms can be a good option for passengers on a budget and those who do not plan to spend much time in their stateroom. If you’re looking for a more peaceful experience, the Vitality Spa & Salon on Navigator of the Seas will do the trick.

Follows the complete list of Navigator of the Seas restaurants and food bars. The boat has 15 decks, of which 14 are passenger-accessible and 9 with cabins. Satisfy your cravings all day — and night — at this round-the-clock fleet favorite.
